So it's still showing 25 minutes.
Yeah, won't start until there is there can you share screen and CR we gotta share your screen no because share screen? Is if I wanted to show something on my desk who's controlling the flights. We are so I need to do control slides.
So you made all the slides available to watch no, I did individual I didn't do individual.
It's the current one, and everything previously that sounds good.
Sound hear this news, they have some nice new staff and I some net. There is like? Where did you get your hat? I'm like bookstore actually has some nice new products that are being logoed?
They didn't end up doing the try out tonight, no so.
Is that their own? Yeah Thursday so control current slides moderated shot video share screens available tonight? So analysts and Carla?
At Shannon's not going to be able to.
That's OK, she's not young girl, she said.
OK so we got all our slides so.
Well to get changed anything.
How many you got 165 so if I do share access?
So this is what the end user sees right now is 23 minutes till it starts, yeah, when we go to our keep this open no playback. Yeah, if you go to the instance where we're recording from so go to recording that's there. When we look at guess that's how we know who will be in the chat.
And it probably doesn't show until it starts.
Or we can actually see is while won't show until it actually show. When People start logging in I mean, I guess we could have Anna or list login and we could see if it shows them it. I assume it's not showing us right now, no because we looked at it.
All today excellent so we did a webinar survey form that was a good nap from Carla yesterday to make sure we have a survey.
Something I guess we're ready, Yeah Alright.
I went through, and just made the updates that we've gone through this morning.
So you'll go I go and then I continue and then you go you continue and then I go.
So I continue on to the apply now page and I continue on to the benefits of applying and then I transitioned to the counselor.
You want me to keep going through all those you're crying about. That's fine. I think that was the plan account to go for so then I talk about the counselors an I talk about code to meet you concert page. And then you transition to throw out the accounts. I just said will be visiting high school spares.
I think we should split this, where it was you're going to do the 1st 2:00 and I was going to do the second to hear.
I'm just thinking, maybe this morning when we attract joke 'cause then it transitioned.
And then an is going to chime in with the links. So then you're going through the role emissions account story, then I got on the road page there.
Can we get a resolution for the mop meeting? I haven't changed it yet but it's in?
I don't wanna column interviews. I agree with Chelsea's now instead of posting individual interviews. We coast individual meetings meetings.
And I just made I just said in our November web and R in our September web and R.
Um application credentials and then you talk about holistic review transitions transcripts.
And then test scores talking about our class and I rec letters so after you do that with conditioner back letters begin the college essay.
And then I you talked about adding a section about the different prompts and then did you have other essay tips. You make sure you're talking about you put in here? Sorry just think of this story or narrative and then as I'm talking bout that there's a whole different ways, and use common coalition. FC app with proxy can promise you can use for the essay and just kind of sharing that it really is up to you to decide what you want to Share your story based on the process.
There, but this is an individualized way to actually set yourself apart think about really a good narrative that you want to share that's not only going to share about you, but also is going to be something that's appealing to the reader as well, which is more than I was going to go.
Admissions so wrong decision get it within 24 weeks, then I'll dive into except decision and then go back to it, and I mentioned that I'm saying more on that in just a minute.
And then we go into timeline.
And then I just put our October weapon arm will focus on the scholarships and financial aid actually.
Well, that's fine did you not put the dates on the slide?
We may just gonna reference that in the questions so I thought we mentioned in our presentation at the upcoming webinars. September will be on scholarships. October on financial aid in college affordability in November will be about FSU accepted student overnight program scholars weekend.
So I was thinking as they're typing questions. We can just go through these items. What topics do you want to see more about yeah? That's good? I also think if we need to pivot on a date that doesn't hold us to a specific date too.
More questions can be answered for you and then our contact.
So we're not going to get tornado drill in here right. I saw that message was like so this is also why.
And everybody from our Florida Southern team had the lead the rink by 4:30 because every is required to be back for the girls 5 four so it was like Alicia grew al. Everybody had to be back at 5:00. So it just made sense to do a pivot, hoping the weather will be OK tomorrow morning. I gotta double extra large Jersey in our New Jersey sit in my car. I gotta go take some pictures with on Frank. I'm sure that the Frank Lloyd Wright Society is just going to love office for doing now.
And I also want to get some of Moxie, So what do we got here her. I haven't seen the update it? Yeah, they don't? Do until 5:00 o'clock. So they do 811. Five they do at 2:00 o'clock, but it never shows anything they were transfers to down.
That's correct out that's going to save their transfer student. I saw that get Carlo mentioned and having less introduce yourself as a visit coordinator and Carla introduce yourself as a transfer account so that way. We got some mixed representation. Today, that you share and make sure that she sharing that.
'Cause Carl's are international entrance. Yes, yeah, I think that's good, too. I'm just curious do we have? Can you pull the query of where everybody is coming from for this?
Definitely going to be placing my reading this evening. So let's see let's change this layout. I think you do that form.
Roll show logically now you do it, there and then you do.
That comes in an X court, it's the way that the actual.
I don't think we can do it for this because I've thought about doing this, you have to actually completely edit. The template this is a template so it's an event template so they event temple if you can add in.
You know where they're from, and what not but even this week and stuff we don't have that.
And then it's under templates.
Where is a different template so events?
And then templates Oh yeah, so it be online or that.
It will be no that's still the right form, yeah, yeah exports.
We've got name, but the email so why don't you do city region.
Phone it won't give you County. We don't have that on their impact academic interest. I look like your.
That we have the open container thank you. I think that's a good field.
Alright let's take a look at this again.
Address city and region is not coming up.
And then we lost all their name, Yeah 'cause, we had to do it as a name.
Interesting Lakeland, FL comes up, but it came out that has to do with something about me and Cassie's records.
So, in the format properties export, and export names so.
Form properties is there a form.
Yeah, it should have been based on them, yeah, and take out the.
He did I think we need to change it to form.
Academic interest inform prosper country turned to.
For mobile how old are there.
Well, what's the 6th September 9th day of class till it for a week.
So canceling all classes next week reduce the impact on attendance due to miss classes and personal needs so.
All employees are expected to report is normal on Monday should the college closes resulted storm employees will be notified.
I think they got a early look at what's going on, but no hasn't posted anything yet.
Come and even make landfall until Tuesday afternoon, yeah, so.
Yeah, I saw the same thing that was to say now.
Ha form city information still didn't come through.
Wonderful 19 in their interesting.
This is no different than this afternoon, where we only had a 20% chance of hurricane wins.
We are going to get tropical storm force ones. We were in the 80% of getting probable storm force plans so.
Goannas log down like it shows here.
She's seniors as Director Assistant Director.
Chelsea is needs to get at taking him? How do you update that enslaved?
User permissions, so I don't have access to that's why I think we can end user questions.
Well, but I forgot that I didn't know how to get it. To you and I'm about to start my web and arm.
I'm not going to, I'm not available to help you get anything.
No, it's in the refrigerator upstairs in the office.
Some classes all week, yeah.
I wonder what they'll do for fall break this very interesting. We got a good number of registrations for tours tomorrow that just came in Melbourne, FL Beverly Hills, FL port. St Lucie FL. These are new. I think I think they've made their way, this way.
So Shannon had a counselor re taped her.
And they're going to be here in April and they asked if they would we would cover a hotel for a night for them. Now they're getting flown down here by another school, there, having two other schools paper hotel nights for them when they're in their area for that once and I asked her to get a little bit more information on it. I'm almost airing on the maybe we could have again within reason we can book The Motel. I mean, we would say that we would book it for them.
Uh would be the option. I think at that point, I wouldn't say let him go ahead and book lower hotel. He wants turn, but we could certainly book a hotel here in Lakeland area for them. If you would be interested in coming to visit campus and starting to be here there flights are covered by another school and there, visiting other schools and he's specifically looking to come for us for one night. What are your thoughts on that I would be OK with covering one night hotel stay for that I just want some data and look at the.
School and what we have in regards to applicant history. We can look at that SMX tab. I can ask I mean, I haven't done anything like that recently but I had a private count story that came and did a visit for so then we took him out for lunch and pay for it and.
So I think that's an option, we could look into.
I asked that's why I asked him to get a little bit more detail and it sounds like.
Other schools are paying for a lot of things for discounts or while they're on here and I want to make sure that variable accommodate them in the same way to something similar at least should I turn on close captioning, I would.
I think that's a good option.
Go ahead and do close captioning, accounting control slides.
Is recording all that we're saying let's make sure we take that out there? Oh I know? Why we're in audio bridge well. That's the close captioning, I wonder.
OK, so that whoever is watching this can do close captioning. I know I recognize that when we log into your instance, you can actually do close captioning. So I need to do not share screen, but control slides OK and then we need to go back to.
Right so we're at 4 minutes.
Cool then we won't see the logged in we got another registration.
I love that they're registering at like 455.
You can see us like on computer.
Where do you wanna stay in through the questions?
On the background on the chat so OK, so when you go in on the event. Carlesso on events. Yeah, you're looking at the event that's in there could you hit control?
Or how are you watching us right now access and that's the only thing I can see I can't see control so go into the event and so let's go try to see why. We can't see control. I mean, I'm going to go back there with list your added person that can control so.
I know we're just both trying to see why we couldn't see that, but I will try it control. You should have the ability to control and work on the chat, but I think there is some sort of permission. We gave permissions well with that. I'm just saying we can't we can't get to it right now that's where we went to so that we can. See you guys when we hit access. We just I'm going to try to see if I was able to get through.
So they're here and they're looking at access. It shouldn't be the recording now sharing permissions.
Uh that's not worth permissions.
Special skills submit responses display.
And that's fine, but that's not really go back up to the bath.
Well, the name is going to have to do it.
I don't I don't know why they can't figure it out 'cause. We had everybody. The other individuals. I did it. The other day, Lily was able to figure out.
I had a feeling that she was looking in there, so she's fine.
You're right we'll see this thing.
I was wondering these webinars do you lean do you sit back? What do you do so the ones with Amanda stir? Does she have a preference one way or another. I learned that I don't have to do in my office. I sent in my living room, couch last one, I did like that's a lot better.
So, in a minute to get all so I can control the slides like licking.
And I assume they can hear us, it was incredibly stressful to watch the.
Uh then we had 2 that was going at the same time.
Oh something Anna can you see us right now?
Alright Well, you should because you're in control, so that's good.
Here we go 16 seconds. I feel like it's like New Year's Eve. Watching this Clock ticking down any second counts behind us.

Hi My name is Shermar Cutting and I am from Atlanta, Georgia
So today, we're talking about everything that you need to know to apply to Florida, southern and one of the first questions that we get from Sue does that have an interest in applying to the colleges. When should I apply or how should I apply and I like to share with students that our application at Florida. Southern is rolling. That means we're accepting applications each and every day and we're sending out admission decisions each and every day so there's no better time to apply then today. We do have a priority date of March, 1st that would be of your senior year of high school or prior to your enrollment at the college.

05:03:43 PM
Hi, I'm Natalie from CT!
But I always encourage students don't wait till the spring go ahead and get your application in early or so excited to learn of your interests and get a chance to connect with you during your college search. I think one of the best things about applying for summer in college. It is absolutely free to apply to Florida Southern College. We don't charge an application fees. So it makes it available to anyone. That's interested to go ahead and apply to for summer in college and I always love dementia, especially at this time of the year is your joining us today. Our application for admission is.
Open and available we have started accepting applications this year, all the way back in May. We started accepting applications. We have over 1200 students that have chosen to submit their applications to for this. Other is definitely not too late to go ahead and submit that application as well as we do have a priority application date as art invention of March, 1st so good time to go ahead and start that application is now.
And there's a couple of different ways that you can apply for Southern College. I mentioned it's free no matter what way you choose. It's free to apply for this other and as we accept applications on line through the common application through the coalition application and then also through our Florida Southern College website. We don't have a preference of how you apply to force other in college. What really matters is that you apply that's what we're looking for is make sure you're submitting that application. That's there and whatever works best for you what you're most comfortable with for one of those application options.

Caroline Grubs
05:05:18 PM
Hi, I'm Caroline from White Bear Lake, MN.
Works for us as well. If you've already started your common app or your coalition, not make sure to add FSC to your list of schools that will ensure that we get all of the information for your application. One of the things that I really like about these on line application platforms is you can save your work as you go so if you want to take a stab at a section of your application and come back to it later. You can save it in the information will be available to you when you come back. The other benefit of using these application platforms is you can attach some of your credentials so if you wanted to include a recommendation letter.
Seriah Jones
05:05:33 PM
Hi, I'm Seriah, from Orlando,FL
Kayla Sconiers
05:05:40 PM
What is the essay prompt and word requirement?
From a teacher or your high school transcripts. You can include those through any of those application platforms. I just encourage you don't leave your application in Limbo make sure to hit submit when you complete because that will ensure that that gets to our admissions committee at Florida, southern if you do decide that you want to apply on the Florida Southern College hosted application. We have a link on RFSC website. I file southern.edu backslash apply now and you can see that on your screen. Our website is such a helpful platform to get all of your questions answered and learn more about the college and can be your gateway to submitting your application.
Haley Lederer
05:06:17 PM
Can you apply on multiple platforms?
There are so many benefits that our students have to apply early to the college. There are opportunities or one of the things that applying early as you can put the stress behind you in your senior year know that your applications are already submitted and you won't have to worry about that. Another benefit of applying early is that you'll get your decision as I mentioned they are rolling admission. We're sending decisions out on a daily basis. Another benefit is that you get lots of updates and important information from the college so.
Liz Green
05:06:55 PM
Hi Haley, you should plan to apply via one platform so we can make sure your information is all in one place. :)
Nadia Ageladelis
05:06:59 PM
Hi everyone! II'm Nadia from New Port Richey, FL.
Will make sure to share with you about events that are coming up or some of your next steps. There will start a communication flow. Once you've been offered admission to the college so you'll get important updates. Whether that's email or on our website or even text messages. We want to make sure that you're looped in informed and making sure that we are paving the way for you to be a market, Florida Southern.
Haley Lederer

They were assigned as your specific missions counselor and it's assigned based on your High School of where you're coming from so no matter if you're coming from California, Colorado, Ohio or coming from an international location today.

You can use our meet your admissions counselor page in the FSC website or Florida Southern College website to find out who your emissions counter is will make sure that we post that link there in the chat so that you can certainly check and see who is the admissions counselor that you're going to be working with and it's important to work with that admissions counselor here at Florida Southern.
Liz Green

They will be the one that will initially be reviewing your application for admission and presenting your application to our missions committee here for a final decision at Florida, southern as well. Your admissions counselor is going to be your contact.
Anna Hopkins

If you want to meet with your counselor this fall, sign up for an off-campus "Moc Meeting" at www.flsouthern.edu/mocmeeting!
Answer your questions and help guide you through the next steps. There is an important things that we want to make sure our students are aware of so that they don't miss any steps along the way I mentioned our scholars. We can program that's a tradition at Florida's other and some that we get really excited about in the admissions office as we look forward to hosting perspective students on campus and getting a glimpse of what it's like to be a Florida Southern College student for a day. We also have some important announcements to share with you all about applying for scholarships and maximizing those scholarship opportunities.
In fact, we're looking forward to hosting some upcoming webinars to share more about our scholars. We can program that web and R will be coming up in November are next web and R in September is going to be about some of our scholarship offerings are prestige scholarships to be a great way for students to apply or find list to be invited to come and interview on campus for a full ride or a full tuition scholarship. So I encourage you to keep an eye out for those upcoming webinars. We'll have some exciting information to share with you. That's a great reason to apply now so that you could.
Already start gaining some of the invitations to actually attend that web and R learn a little about those opportunities for accepted students. Here photo southern so there are some admissions credentials or application credentials. That will be included as a part of your application and these are items that are admissions committee will take a thorough review of before we make a final decision. So a completed application at Florida. Southern is going to include a high school transcript. Our recommendation letter a college statement or a personal essay and sat or AC T scores. So we're going to take a look at.
Each of those, and help me inserting questions that you have about them. What's important to note here for the Southern College. We do take a holistic approach in reviewing the application for admission and you may be familiar with the word holistic or heard school say that before when we say holistic cure for the Southern College. That means that we look at all of your credentials when considering you for admission as well as we look at all of the elements and everything that you put into your application that includes your honors awards activities your essay is.
Well, is those transcripts test scores and letters or recommendation, so we do look at everything in a holistic review process, making sure the student is going to be a great fit for Florida Southern College as we are selective, meaning that we admit an arrow pool of students each never hear Air Force other so I want to take a minute and dive into the high school transcript or pretty transfer students. The college transcript. There's a couple of things that are important as our committee reviews and I want you to know that we know that your course work is still in progress.

05:12:31 PM
Do admissions counselors look at AP scores?
Did not finish your schooling yet so knowing that a transcript only includes grades from your freshman software junior year of high school is OK. If you're able to have your transcript share? What classes you're enrolled in in your senior year. That's certainly helpful, but not a requirement at Florida. Southern we will look at your transcript and recalculate your GPA the GPA does include your core academic courses and also any electives that you take as a part of your school work. We will wait courses if you're taking advanced courses.
API V Dual enrollment ace any of those courses that are advanced college prep will provide waiting for your GPA so that's always a nice bump to the GPA.

05:13:02 PM
Hi i’m McKenna from New Jersey!
And In addition to look at how you perform in the classes. We also want to see at what level of courses. You're taking the rigor of those classes in the sequence of those classes to ensure that sure education is going to prepare you to be a successful academic student at Florida. Southern I always like to note and will get questions. If Florida southern requires that students take foreign language as a high school or we do not require 2 years of a foreign language. We certainly encourage students to take language classes but that is not a requirement for our admission.
Liz Green
05:13:23 PM
We do not evaluate your AP scores when reviewing your admissions application, but your scores will count when being reviewed for transfer credit!
Danielle Otlin
05:13:24 PM
Do you count ASL as a language?
For our students that started at Florida, southern this fall, and are in their first year, the college. They had an average weighted GPA of a 3.78 from their high school graduation. So we've got a great academically challenging group of students that are part of our Florida. Southern community and we look forward to reviewing your transcripts when you send those as a part of your application. One of the things that's been mentioned here in the chat is accepting transferability of college credit. We are very generous on accepting transfer college credit.
And that could be a pid dual moment ace classes that a student has taken throughout their high school karere. We sent the link there for the advanced credit policy table, so you can take a look at that we update those each and every year. I really am excited to share that information because you can see we are generous and accepting that credit applications for admission. We don't necessarily consider those scores as part of the admissions process. However, we love knowing that you're taking those highly academic courses.
Seriah Jones
05:14:45 PM
What is the require score for SAT and ACT to attend FL Southern?
Cameron Dewiest
05:14:46 PM
Cameron from Tallahassee
And that you may be coming in with some college credit Florida's other does except up to 93. Transferable college credits from an incoming first year students and if you're looking for more details on that. You can find it in advance credit policy table. We may even host a future web and R and transferring college credit before. This other when you send that red in it does need to be an official transcript. Whether that be from the college or University that you've taken those courses through and earn that credit form or the College Board for your AP examinations.
Liz Green
05:15:21 PM
Danielle, I believe we do!
I be or if you're taking that a sore Cambridge. We just need those transcripts to accept that college credit. One of the next things that are admissions committee will look at our test scores so we accept test scores from both the SAT and the ACC one of the things that I like to make sure is when you're registering for these tests make sure to include Florida, southern on your test registration on your screen. You'll see our sat and AC T code. This will ensure that those scores can be shared with the college and uses a part of your application for admission consideration.
We do super score test so if you take multiple essay Tees or a CTS. We will take the highest of each of your sections to create a hiest super score for your composite there are lots of opportunities for students to continue to test whether they've already been admission offered admission to the college or not. There can be opportunities increase academic scholarships. And there's lots of helpful tools on line for test crap. I know that sat offers the Khan Academy and we've had some students have been able to do some practice tests and review.
And really help increase their scores not only helping in their admission to the college but also in some of the scholarship consideration that will come down the road.
Hailey McGovern
05:16:18 PM
If someone took a gap year before applying would that hinder their chances of getting in?
Within our first year class that just entered for a southern college this year are middle 50% of students, meaning kind of the middle group of students that applied and were admitted and chose to attend. Florida southern it on average. They added 11:30 SAT super score to a 1300 on the SAT is a super score and on the AC T. They usually have between a 23 on the AC T is a super score to a 29. We do have 25% of our enrolling class here at Florida Southern College that had test scores above.
Anna Hopkins
05:16:56 PM
Hailey, no that wouldn't impact your chances of getting in! If you took college classes, you would then apply as a transfer student.
1330 on the SAT an above a 29 in the AC T, including a student with a perfect score here in the AC T students with these qualifications are also eligible to apply for honors program in our prestige scholarships that are full tuition full ride scholarships for southern as well. What are the next credentials that are emissions too many more review is a recommendation letter this can be is preference for it to be an academic reference so from a teacher that you work with at the school or for a school.
Liz Green
05:17:11 PM
Seriah, did that answer your question?
Seriah Jones
05:17:29 PM
Yes!!
Counselor to be able to share a little bit about what you're like as a student in the classroom. We require 1 academic reference. But we welcome multiple references you're not required to turn in multiple reference letters. But if you have a coach or a pasture or an employer or someone else that might like to advocate on your behalf, or why he'd be a good fit for Florida. Southern we'd certainly welcome to have you send in those recommendation letters. This is a great way for us to learn about your preparedness to be a great student at the college.
Or maybe learn more about you outside of what your transcript of your test scores can share.
Liz Green
05:17:43 PM
Yay!! :)
Another part of your application is going to be your personal statement or your college essay. This is an opportunity that you can Share your story are counselors love to read. These essays and learn more about us and applicants and I encouraged him to think about this as a personal story or a personal narrative ways that you can highlight why you might enjoy being a student at the college or be a good fit for our college community. This is your chance to Share your story in on each application platform whether it be you choose.
The common application the coalition application or the sort of something college application will be different prompts to choose from, and it's really up to you to decide what is going to be the best prompt to really describe a little bit more about yourself really shed some light on some of the things that you want admissions professionals to know about you think about your essay is your opportunity to have a personal conversation. And for our admissions committee to get to know you a little bit better to share that story, share that narrative in your own voice.
Chloe Potts
05:18:49 PM
Does FSC accept Florida Prepaid and/or Bright Futures?
I always love to mention is an essay tip and when you're writing essays know better be at Florida, southern or anywhere. Make sure you're really sharing with in that essay not only things about you, but make it engaging for the individuals that are reading that essay for about you as well.
Liz Green
05:19:13 PM
Hi Chloe, we certainly do!
At Florida Southern College. We do offer rolling admissions, so once you sent in your transcripts your test scores letters or recommendation need completed that terrific. I say we will be sending out an admission decision to you. When we do rolling admissions at 4:00 to Southern College. What that means is we send out decisions within 2 to 4 weeks of everything being received for your application for admission, so really do, do it whip turn around on your application for admission.
Anna Hopkins
05:19:33 PM
Prepaid and Bright Futures stack on top of your merit scholarships, too!
Chloe Potts
05:20:01 PM
That is amazing news!! Thank you so much!
There are several types of admission decisions and I really kind of generalize those into 3 buckets that can come from our admissions committee. The 1st would be and accept decision or an offer of admission and we're going to talk more about that. In just a minute, but I want to talk about some of the other decisions that are committee could share with an applicant so that you have best know how to navigate your next steps. One of the decisions are committee could make is to hold a student's application for additional information so this.
Typically happens if we'd like to see maybe another recommendation letter or if we need more grades. So submitting your transcript. Once you've completed your first semester grades of your senior year or if we know that you're doing some additional testing on the AC TRS 80. Maybe you're taking one of those upcoming exams. In October and November or December. We might decide to hold your application until those scores come in so that we can make the best decision in regards to your application for admission, we do admit about.
Haley Lederer
05:20:46 PM
Are there any essay topics that admissions counselors feel are overdone?
50% of the students that apply to the college not every student that applies that is offered admission an Unfortunately some students will be determined from the admissions committee that they may not be ready for the rigorous academic environment that Florida Southern College offers and in that case would be denied admission to the college and I like to share with students, especially ones that have been tonight. Admission that this really isn't a say. No, you can't be at Florida, southern what this is really sharing is there really.
May not be an opportunity for you be at Florida, southern right now there is an option for students to appeal. Their admission decision so if you feel like your decision was not reflective of your capabilities and you'd like to submit a letter of appeal. I'd be glad to review those appeals. I encourage you to submit additional credentials. Updated test scores or new transcripts that can be shared with our admissions committee there. All also options for future enrollment so if you weren't offered admission initially.
But your heart is set on being at Florida, southern there are other pathways for you to be a Florida Southern College student and graduate transfer into the college can be a great option. Once a student has earned 25 credit hours from maybe another college or Community College or State College in your local area. Once you've earned 25 hours. We will no longer and look at your high school transcripts or test scores for admission consideration so there are some pathways for you to be at the college if you're not initially offered admission.
Anna Hopkins
05:22:26 PM
Great question, Haley! I love reading essays that show a student's true voice. Writing about something you're passionate about is always a good idea.
And to clarify a little bit about that Florida sun. There is very transfer student friendly. We have usually a good number of students that will come into force are in college from 40 or universities to your university's looking for a great option here as a transfer student miss aren't mention we actually with that point I will just be looking at the college transcripts and then also social standing for window that students in good process after institution if a student is coming from a collegiate high school. That means that they still would be a first year student here at.

The major I'm into is Graphic Design. Are there any requirements for me to take the course if I attend the school?
Liz Green
05:23:03 PM
Hi Jermaine, Graphic Design does require a portfolio review, I believe.
Or the other and then we would review them as a first year student they may be coming in with college credit support a southerne, but because it would be first time away from home and we really like sharing the excitement of the admission decision what the student, especially that accept decision. You may have noticed in the last couple of photos. Some students holding up these beautiful red envelopes that they receive this is one of the most exciting things that we get the opportunity to send out to students is that notification of admission that they've been offered the opportunity to join our Florida Southern College.

Financial aid award letters that contain the information of total cost of attendance to students in early January. We do have a great resource in our website and most schools do call the net price Calculator. This is kind of a note of something to take a look at your emissions counts are, however, as I mentioned they are a terrific resource for you here. They are also going to be your financial aid counselor for a southern so be sure to build that relationship with them. Make sure that you're able to answer any questions that you would have through your admissions counselor here too.

It will continue to sound out admission decisions all the way up until the beginning of May. When our class may be full at that point in time. So a student can be considered for scholarships at any point time, but really if you're looking for suggestions, now is one of the best times to apply to Florida Southern College, so that you had the opportunity to build that application. You have more time. If you're looking for additional scholarships to retest on the SAT and AC T that's out there is well. A couple other questions. I noticed in here we're about specific programs.

Such as music or dance or theater. Those programs, oftentimes do have auditions or our programs do you have a portfolio requirement in order? To actually be involved in those major specifically for the southern college a student would have to not only be admitted to Fort Southern but also those programs as well.
James Murphy
05:28:12 PM
Great! Thank you
Some great questions coming in as far as as well. One of the things that I always like to mention here and it was asked about letters of recommendation coming into Florida Southern College. Really, the simple requirement is that it's coming from a teacher. A school counselor is an academic recommendation, someone who knows you personally and also can talk about our academic abilities as well. In that recognition. We don't have a specific format required.

James, we accept any outside scholarships on top of merit scholarships and any other aid as well. I encourage any student to apply for as many outside scholarships as they can in their local area

Calvin, great question about Nursing. Since FSC offers a direct admit Nursing BSN program, it does have limited clinical space so apply early!

Do I submit the Honors program app and the common app at the same time?

Good question Jack! The Honors program application is separate. You can apply for honors once you receive your admission decision from FSC. Be sure to also sign up for our Scholars Weekend to attend our Honors program luncheon on those weekends too!
