THEATRE AND DANCE DAY -- October 13, 2025

The Department of Theatre Arts and Dance at Florida Southern College is excited to invite you to Theatre and Dance Day on Monday, October 13, 2025. At this event students will have the opportunity to experience master classes with FSC faculty and attend a performance featuring the Theatre Arts and Dance programs.

In addition, a Theatre program entrance audition will be held for high school seniors interested in pursuing the B.F.A. in Musical Theatre or B.F.A. in Theatre Performance. Dance program entrance auditions will be held for high school seniors who are interested in pursuing the B.F.A. in Dance Performance and Choreography, the B.A. in Dance Studies, or the Dance Minor.

Dance Audition Requirements

Upload your streaming link (YouTube, Vimeo, Google Drive, etc.) of a solo performance in any dance style of your choice in the space below. This recording may be from a previous formal performance or informal in a dance studio. Individual files that need to be downloaded will not be accepted.

B.F.A. Musical Theatre Audition Requirements

In the space below, upload a brief dance audition video in the dance style of your choice by October 8, 2025.

Please provide view/share access, if applicable.

For the in-person audition, prepare two contrasting pieces:

One song should be a ballad and one song should be an up-tempo
One song should be written before 1970
One song should be written after 1970
Each song should be 60-90 seconds
Please have accompaniment tracks. A wireless speaker will be provided.

Bring a headshot, artistic resume, and two letters of recommendation.

B.F.A. Theatre Performance Audition Requirements

For the in-person audition, prepare two contrasting pieces:

One dramatic monologue should be classical or contemporary.
One comedic monologue should be classical or contemporary.
At least one monologue must be contemporary (written after 1970).
Monologues must be from a published play or monologue collection. Monologues cannot be from musicals, television shows, or movies.

Please bring a headshot, artistic resume, and two letters of recommendation.
