Good afternoon college reps!
We are so excited you will be joining us for Trinity Prep’s College Fair & Case Study Program on Saturday, September 30th. Below, please find a timeline for the case study and college fair. Please take time to review the Case Study Materials to help prepare for the workshop portion of the program. We have attached a “cheat sheet” to save you time reading the applications during your busy travel schedule.
Case Study Overview:
For those that have not assisted in a Case Study Program, that’s okay! Case Study Programs allow students and their family members an opportunity to review fictious college applications alongside 1-2 college representatives. The goal of the program is to help students/families understand how applications are reviewed holistically and to understand that deciding whether a student is offered admission to a specific school is not as easy as it may seem. Your role is to help facilitate an admissions committee meeting. The participants are doing most of the talking.
Here's how it will work. Students and family members will be separated into small groups. You will work with a group of students or family members. The participants have already received the applications they will be reviewing (some will have read the material more thoroughly than others). Their task is to choose 2 students to admit, 1 student to waitlist, and 1 student to deny. As the facilitator we want you to help guide the discussion on what might matter in the application (essays, rec letter, geographic location, rigor, etc.). At the end of the program, we’ll have you submit your group’s admission decisions. At the end of the day, the participants will get to see the admission decisions from the other groups (enforcing that admission decisions aren’t always clear cut).
Case Study Materials:
Attach, please find a copy of the materials sent to the students and families participating in the program. We have also attached a cheat sheet to save you time. A copy of the cheat sheet will be provided to you upon check-in.

College Rep Arrival/Setup: 12:00-12:45 p.m.
Case Study Start Time: 1:00 p.m.
Case Study End Time: 2:30 p.m.
College Fair Start Time: 2:30 p.m.
College Fair End Time: 3:30 p.m.
